Kasama Yaki.

Kasama is a place of production of a pottery also in Kanto which ranks second to Mashiko. Kasama yaki It is made with the clay called the frog clay (amorous glance) containing many iron made by weathering of Kasama clay and the granite which are excavated from a loamy layer of the Kanto Plain.
Kasama clay was the ground since [ that stickiness is strong ] it is fine-grained, strong burn going up and ideal as an everyday offering dish of those days.

History

There are so many types of pottery earthenware, porcelain and crockery.These are essential for our life, but what is the origin of pottery? Especially in Japan which is left from other countries, how have yakimono been progressed ?

First pottery was made in prehistoric ages. Above all old one is found in the far east, China and Japan. Japanese' jomon doki' is famous for the surface pattern made by rope. After jomon , interestingly, designs became simple though tech was imploved. It reason was thought that Jomon people focus on  more durability than looking.
